What should my little one expect trying a new dance class?

We are an artistic establishment specializing in guiding you on a beautiful journey into the world of dance.

Our Goal

One of our primary goals is fostering independence as we share our passion for dance with your children.

Arrival and Pickup

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before class begins and ensure timely pickup of your dancer.

Preparation

Prepare your dancer at home in a So Danca leotard, tights, and the appropriate dance shoes required for their class, with their hair styled neatly in a bun (preferably with a donut). For your convenience, we sell all necessary attire. Dressing the part enhances your dancer’s productivity, confidence, and sense of belonging.

Bathroom Use

Please ensure your child uses the bathroom before class begins.

Independence in Class

Children attend class independently, without a guardian. To ease transitions, only one person should drop off their dancer to avoid difficult goodbyes. These classes are designed to help children acquire skills for their own development, without the aid of a guardian.

Class Focus

Our introductory classes help develop basic motor skills and coordination using dance techniques. They include fundamental dance steps, activities, and role-playing to foster musical awareness, coordination, and self-confidence.

Can I stay and watch?

Would you like to be watched while you are trying something new and feel scared and intimidated? Obviously we know the answer to that question is a big giant no. While we strongly agree that parents support is everything, we only allow a child to be accompanied by an adult if they are a toddler or limited. You are welcome to wait in the holding room or you can stand outside where you can easily view the class in session through our giant windows. We do ask that you use some discrepancy so your child is not embarrassed as they explore new body movement. The good news is, at the end of the season we do have a beautiful Spring recital where you can enjoy your child with family and friends.

How do we create so much energy you ask?

We believe in the fact that there is power in numbers. Dancers thrive in rooms filled with other dancers. The positive energy is contagious and continues to build throughout the season leading to elevated growth and superior education.
