Preparing Your Little One for Their First Dance Experience
Welcome to Our Artistic Community
We specialize in guiding dancers on a beautiful journey into the world of dance, nurturing creativity and growth every step of the way.
Our Goal
A core focus of our program is fostering independence while sharing our passion for dance with your children.
Arrival and Pickup
Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before class starts and ensure prompt pickup of your dancer at the scheduled time.
Preparation
Dancers should arrive dressed in a So Danca leotard, tights, and the appropriate shoes for their class, with hair neatly styled in a bun (preferably using a donut). For your convenience, all required attire is available for purchase. Dressing the part boosts your child’s confidence, focus, and sense of belonging.
Bathroom Use
Please have your child use the restroom prior to the start of class.
Independence During Class
Children participate independently without a guardian present. To help ease separation, we ask that only one person drop off your dancer to minimize difficult goodbyes. Our classes are designed to promote skill development and self-reliance.
Class Focus
Our introductory classes emphasize basic motor skills and coordination through dance techniques. They incorporate fundamental steps, engaging activities, and role-playing to cultivate musicality, coordination, and self-confidence.
Observation Policy for Parents
Would you feel comfortable being watched while trying something new, especially if you’re feeling nervous or intimidated? Most would say no—and we completely understand. While we deeply value parental support, to help our dancers build confidence and independence, adults are not permitted in the classroom during lessons.
We kindly ask that you maintain discretion to ensure your child feels confident and unembarrassed as they explore new movements and develop their skills.
The rewarding moment comes at the end of the season during our beautiful Spring recital — a special occasion where you can celebrate your child’s growth and achievements alongside family and friends.
Unlocking the Secret to Our Energy
We believe in the strength of community. Dancers flourish when surrounded by fellow dancers, as the positive energy created in these spaces is contagious. This collective enthusiasm grows throughout the season, fostering accelerated progress and exceptional training.
